Timothy Alan Schwegel (Brandt Pike)

August 1, 1960 – June 9, 2025

Timothy Alan Schwegel, known professionally as Brandt Pike, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 64. Born in Dayton, Ohio, to Harold and Annie Schwegel (both deceased), Tim’s vibrant spirit and boundless charisma touched countless lives as an actor, mentor, coach, and devoted father.

A natural athlete, Tim excelled in youth and high school sports, earning a tryout with the Cincinnati Reds and being named “Most Likely to Succeed” by his peers. Though his path led him to Hollywood, his love for sports never waned—he remained a passionate Ohio State Buckeyes fan, coaching youth teams and inspiring future generations with his dedication and enthusiasm.

Under his stage name, Brandt Pike, he appeared in iconic 1990s TV series such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, and Murder, She Wrote, among many others, leaving a mark on the entertainment industry with his talent and charm. Yet his greatest role was as a loving father to his son, Brandt Pike Jr., with whom he shared an unbreakable bond.

Tim’s warmth and generosity extended far beyond his family. He is survived by his son, Brandt; siblings Yolanda Baker, Dana Herreid, and Brian Schwegel; former spouse and lifelong confidante Sandra Lopez; and many adoring nieces, nephews, and friends. His sister, Gail Brown, preceded him in death.

A friend to all, Tim will be remembered for his quick smile, wit, unwavering loyalty, and ability to make everyone feel seen. His legacy as a mentor, sports enthusiast, community advocate, and storyteller lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to local youth sports programs in Tim’s honor.

“To live in the hearts, we leave behind is not to die.” — Thomas Campbell.
