Ruth E. Madrid

On May 8^th, 2024, we said goodbye for now to a beautiful mother, sister, grandmother and friend Ruth E Madrid.  She is survived by daughter Margie Moreno, sons David Moreno (Nancy), Daniel Moreno (Sandra), brother Henry Figueroa and sister Julie Graham.  Ruth has eight grandchildren and nine grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by husband Joe Madrid, mother Margarita Figueroa, father Ismael Figueroa, sister Sally Figueroa and brother Robert Figueroa. 

Ruth worked as a nurse’s assistant for 12 years caring for the elderly and welcoming newborns.  She then continued her career in home health care serving the Green Valley area.  She loved her career – developing long lasting friendships with her clients and nurses she worked with.   

In 1970, mom met a wonderful man named Joe Madrid – seven years later they married.  Those years were the best years of her life, they traveled, they loved, sharing 38 years.  The last year mom cared for her husband until 2015 when his life here on earth was done.   Between life with my stepdad and grandchildren, mom’s life was complete – her heart was full.  She will always be remembered for her smile, will, strength and determination to face her life’s challenges.  You will be dearly missed momma – more than you will ever know “love you more”.
