Roy's culinary journey began in Hush Puppy and a local coffee shop in Texarkana. His passion for cooking led him to work at Popeye's and Sue's Fish and Chips in Tucson, where he delighted countless customers with his delicious creations. Roy's skills in the kitchen were unmatched, and he took immense pride in every dish he prepared.

Outside of the kitchen, Roy cherished the moments spent with his loved ones. One of his most treasured memories was surprising his daughter Tasha at her high school graduation. Roy managed to keep it a secret from her until that special day when he appeared in the crowd, filled with pride for his daughter's accomplishments.

Despite being known for his stubbornness and strong opinions during debates, Roy was an incredibly energetic and good-hearted person. He approached life with determination and always stood by what he believed was right. His vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Roy's educational foundation was laid at Washington High School in Texarkana, Arkansas. It was during these formative years that he developed a love for learning and acquired the skills that would shape his future.

He is survived by his daughters, Latasha Nicole Bradley and Latasha Denise Martin, his son, Jackie, his brother, Ricky Lee Martin, his sisters Dorothy Ward, Alvina Pree, and Mary Katherine Warren, as well as his ten grandchildren. Roy's presence in their lives will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
