Rosa Amelia Soto Quintana

August 10, 1947 — July 20, 2025

Rosa Amelia Soto Quintana was born to Jesús Quintana and María Luisa Martínez. She was baptized in Empalme, Sonora, Mexico. She then married José Jesús Soto in Empalme, Sonora. He has since gone to be with the Lord. In 1967, they moved to Tucson, Arizona. From this marriage, five children were born their children: Rosalía Soto, married to Víctor González, Jesús Arturo Soto "Bobby", who went to be with the Lord Jesus at the age of 15, Rogelio Soto, married to Orpha Soto, Misael Soto, married to Ana Rosa Soto, and the youngest, Priscilla Soto, married to Pedro Astorga. Over the years, they had 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rosa Alicia Quintana and Rosalba Quintana. She is survived by her only brother, Daniel Quintana Martínez, pastor of Empalme, Sonora, Mexico.

Our mother has left us a great legacy of teaching, love, and dedication to our Lord Jesus Christ. God gave her enough strength to face difficult trials, including losing her 15-year-old son, her husband, and her two sisters. She was a tireless warrior in the Lord's path. Not even illness stopped her from serving and honoring the Father. We thank God for her because she was always smiling, above all else. That was something that characterized her, a beautiful and exemplary woman, both inside and out.

We will always remember her with that beautiful smile, for her advice, and for never tire of praying for her children, whom she loved with all her heart. We thank all her family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ for the great support they gave us, and we thank the beloved church where she worshipped until the last day of her life. She had the privilege of attending church on July 20th, the Sunday of her passing, the church where she worshipped-Gentile Evangelical Church of Christ Gethsemane Temple with Pastor José Luis Pacheco.

Thank you for everything SOTO QUINTANA FAMILY.
