Rodrigo Alonso Berrellez

Rodrigo Alonso Berrellez, una luz en el corazón de quienes lo conocieron, nació el 19 de julio de 2007 en Nogales, Arizona. Con un espíritu inspirador y un corazón de oro, nos dejó demasiado pronto, el 24 de julio de 2025. Su presencia fue un regalo, llena de una bondad inquebrantable y un sincero deseo de ayudar a los demás.

Desde pequeño, Rodrigo se destacó por su empatía y su carácter protector. Su pasión por servir a los demás brilló con más fuerza durante su formación en el campamento de Bomberos donde descubrio que su sueño si era en convertirse en bombero y paramédico. En el verano de 2024, asistió a un campamento que lo certificó en primeros auxilios, avanzando hacia un futuro donde podría marcar una verdadera diferencia en la vida de quienes lo rodeaban. Tenía un impulso innato para aliviar el sufrimiento ajeno y luchar contra la injusticia, características que definieron sus primeros años y consolidaron sus aspiraciones.

Rodrigo era mucho más que un estudiante, difruto trabajar en la mecanica en presencia de su padre, con planes de empezar sus estudios de bombero en Agosto del 2025; era un hijo cariñoso, un hermano devoto, un amigo cariñoso y mucho más. Su familia incluía a sus queridos padres, Jeovanny Berrellez y Verónica Nevarez, y a sus queridos hermanos: Leah Rebecca Berrellez, Karen Anahi Berrellez, Gael Gallegos e Ivana María Navarrete, su novia Leslie Valenzuela "Yeyi". Apreciaba el tiempo que pasaba con sus abuelos —María del Socorro Carrillo, Rubén Berrellez, Martin Coss, María del Rosario N. García y Arturo Nevarez— y disfrutaba de la juguetona compañía de sus perros, Pepe y Shelby. Al disfrutar cada momento con sus primos, Arlene Nicole Nevarez, Arturo Nevarez, Renata Gallegos, Enrique Aureliano Hernandez, Daniel Arturo Nevarez, Eduardo Alexander Hernandez, Ruben Jeovanny Berrellez, Erick Alexander Berrellez, Vanely Michelle Castro, Christina Monserat Chavez, Damian Castro, Dylan Berrellez, Abdiel Navarez, Ricky Barron, Matias Berrellez, Tomas Berrellez, Dylan Berrellez, Regina Berrellez, Nancy Buelna, Alejandro Buelna creó lazos duraderos que atesorarían para siempre quienes lo consideraban familia.

Rodrigo no solo era conocido por su espíritu cariñoso, sino también por su capacidad única para alegrar la vida de quienes lo rodeaban. Con su cálida sonrisa y su peculiar humor, podía animar incluso en los momentos más difíciles. Rodri, con sus reconfortantes abrazos y dulces besos, tenía un don especial para hacer sentir bien a la gente; era su forma de compartir su amor y calidez con los demás. Cada encuentro con él se caracterizaba por una conexión genuina, haciendo que quienes lo rodeaban se sintieran comprendidos y apreciados.

Además de sus muchas cualidades admirables, destaco su pasión por el fútbol cuando comenzó desde su infancia en el cual permaneció mas de 4 años en el mismo equipo en el cual le permitio compartircon los mismos amigos y disfrutar de estar en el mismo equipo con su hermana Leah Rebecca Berrellez. Le gustaba participar en baloncesto en el verano asi como haber participado por un año al equipo fútbol americano en la preparatoria. Su compromiso con el trabajo en equipo y la camaradería reflejaban su carácter solidario. Rodrigo también disfrutaba de los placeres sencillos de conducir, escuchar música y soñar con un rancho lleno de animales: una visión de una vida donde pudiera seguir cuidando de criaturas grandes y pequeñas.

Aunque Rodrigo era plenamente consciente de sus muchas metas por alcanzar, se enorgullecía enormemente de sus logros, en particular de su preciado 370Z, el coche de sus sueños, que tenía muchos planes de personalizar. Este entusiasmo vibrante seguía inspirando a quienes tuvieron la suerte de cruzarse con él.

La vida de Rodrigo pudo haber sido breve, pero sin duda fue plena. Su impacto, su risa y su alma compasiva resonarán por siempre en los corazones de su familia y amigos. Al reunirnos para celebrar su extraordinario espíritu, invitamos a todos a unirse a nosotros en su memoria durante el velorio los días 1 y 2 de agosto de 2025 en la Funeraria Martínez de Nogales, seguido de una misa en la Parroquia San Felipe de Jesús, que concluirá en el Cementerio Municipal de Nogales.

Aunque nos aflige el dolor, nos reconforta saber que el legado de bondad y amor de Rodrigo perdurará, iluminando el camino para las generaciones futuras y recordándonos la profunda belleza de una vida dedicada al servicio y la compasión. Lo extrañaremos profundamente, pero jamás lo olvidaremos.

Rodrigo Alonso Berrellez, a shining light in the hearts of all who knew him, was born on July 19, 2007, in Nogales, Arizona. From a young age, Rodrigo stood out for his empathy and protective nature. His passion for serving others shone brightest during his training at Fire Camp, where he discovered his dream was to become a firefighter and paramedic. In the summer of 2024, he attended a camp that certified him in first aid, advancing toward a future where he could make a real difference in the lives of those around him. He had an innate drive to alleviate the suffering of others and fight against injustice, traits that defined his early years and solidified his aspirations.

Rodrigo was much more than a student. He enjoyed working as a mechanic in the presence of his father, with plans to begin his firefighter studies in August 2025. He was a loving son, a devoted brother, a caring friend, and much more. His family included his loving parents, Jeovanny Berrellez and Veronica Nevarez, and his beloved siblings: Leah Rebecca Berrellez, Karen Anahi Berrellez, Gael Gallegos, and Ivana Maria Navarrete; and his girlfriend, Leslie Valenzuela "Yeyi." He cherished the time he spent with his grandparents—María del Socorro Carrillo, Rubén Berrellez, Martin Coss, María del Rosario N. García, and Arturo Nevarez—and enjoyed the playful company of his dogs, Pepe and Shelby. By enjoying every moment with his cousins, Arlene Nicole Nevarez, Arturo Nevarez, Renata Gallegos, Enrique Aureliano Hernandez, Daniel Arturo Nevarez, Eduardo Alexander Hernandez, Ruben Jeovanny Berrellez, Erick Alexander Berrellez, Vanely Michelle Castro, Christina Monserat Chavez, Damian Castro, Dylan Berrellez, Abdiel Navarez, Ricky Barron, Matias Berrellez, Tomas Berrellez, Dylan Berrellez, Regina Berrellez, Nancy Buelna, Alejandro Buelna created lasting bonds that would be forever treasured by those who called him family.

Rodrigo was not just known for his nurturing spirit; he also had a unique ability to bring laughter into the lives of those around him. With his warm smile and specific brand of humor, he could lift spirits even in the heaviest of moments. Rodri, with his comforting hugs and sweet kisses, had a special knack for making people feel at ease; it was his way of sharing his love and warmth with others. Every encounter with him was marked by genuine connection, leaving those around him feeling understood and appreciated.

In addition to his many admirable qualities, his passion for soccer stands out, starting in his childhood. He remained on the same team for over four years, allowing him to share the same friends and enjoy being on the same team as his sister, Leah Rebecca Berrellez. He enjoyed participating in basketball in the summer and playing football for a year in high school. His commitment to teamwork and camaraderie reflected his caring nature. Rodrigo also enjoyed the simple pleasures of driving, listening to music, and dreaming of a ranch full of animals: a vision of a life where he could continue caring for children great and small.

While Rodrigo was acutely aware of his many goals still to accomplish, he took immense pride in his achievements, particularly his cherished 370Z, his dream car that he had many plans for customizing. This vibrant enthusiasm continued to inspire those lucky enough to cross paths with him.

Rodrigo's life may have been brief, but it was undeniably full. His impact, his laughter, and his compassionate soul will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. As we gather to celebrate his remarkable spirit, we invite all to join us in remembrance during the visitation services on August 1 and 2, 2025, at the Martinez Funeral Chapels in Nogales, with a Mass to follow at San Felipe de Jesus Parish, concluding at Nogales City Cemetery.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Rodrigo's legacy of kindness and love will endure, lighting the way for future generations and reminding us all of the profound beauty of a life dedicated to service and compassion. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
