Robert “Mousie” Gomez, born on October 5, 1952, in Santa Rita, New Mexico to Luis and Amelia Gomez. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on April 28, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, where he made his home and left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He was a man of warmth and humor. Robert proudly served our country with distinction in both the Marines and the Navy, embodying a spirit of dedication and resilience.

Robert is survived by the Love of his life, Karol; his children Preston, Jason, Shannon, Ricardo, Rebecca; and siblings Joe, Katie, Gilbert, Ruben, and Edward and his mother Amelia Gomez. He was preceded in death by his father, Luis, and his son, Brandon Lawrence. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in the form of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Robert's passions were many, and he spent his leisure time indulging in hobbies that brought him joy and creativity. He was an avid golfer, a skilled woodcraft artist, and a dedicated model builder. Puzzles were another favorite pastime, often shared with family and friends. However, his greatest joy came from his love of animals, especially his beloved puppies, whom he treated as if they were his own children.

A viewing will be held in Robert's honor at Martinez Funeral Home on June 13, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial services to follow at the Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana, beginning promptly at 12 p.m. To follow; Friends and family are invited to join at the Marine Corps League 216 E. 29th St. Tucson, AZ 85713, as we celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the lives of so many.

Robert Gomez will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the stories we cherish. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so freely gave to others.
