Rita Louise Kucsynski

Rita Louise Kuczynski (Brewsaugh) beloved daughter, mother, sister, and aunt passed unexpectedly on September 17, 2021, at the age of 71 years old.

Rita is survived by her daughter Tara Marie McKelvy (Kuczynski), her two older brothers Franklin Brewsaugh and Ronald Brewsaugh, their wives, and children.

Rita was born in Tucson, AZ on March 28, 1950, to Franklin and Rita Brewsaugh. She was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School In 1968 and earned a degree in business from the University of Phoenix in 2000. She worked in the banking industry for many years and was a contract bookkeeper for organizations and businesses across the city for the past 15 years. Rita was married in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands in 1984 and welcomed her daughter Tara on December 2, 1987.

Rita was a devoted mother and friend. She was always ready for a conversation, happy to lend a sympathetic ear, or engage in playful banter. As a self-reliant and motivated businesswoman, she made a lasting impression on young women she encountered both as colleagues and in life. Rita was quick to laugh, slow to anger, generous, and loving. She had a comforting presence and instantly made people feel welcome. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who had the privilege to know her.

Services will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels (2580 S. 6th Ave.) on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a Rosary at 2 p.m. In lieu of gifts or flowers, Tara requests that any remembrances be made in the form of charitable donations to the Anxiety & Depression Association of America.
