Richard Daniel Gamboa
Richard Daniel Gamboa, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, Arizona. He was born October 16, 1941, in Tucson to Armando and Maria Celia Gamboa.
A proud lifelong Tucsonan, Richard served as an altar boy at Santa Cruz Church and graduated from Salpointe High School. He proudly served as a United States Marine, a role that remained a source of great pride throughout his life. After his military service, he built his career at the University of Arizona, where he worked until his retirement.
Richard shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Cecilia Gamboa. Together, they built a family centered on love, laughter, and unwavering support.Richard is survived by his loving wife, Cecilia; his daughters, Annette De La Ossa, Caryn Gamboa, and Adrianna Ruiz; his siblings, Patsy Gabriel, Martha Reyna, David Gamboa, Arthur Gamboa, and John Gamboa; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rikki Daniel Gamboa.Known for his quick wit, steady patience, and ability to make friends wherever he went, Richard brought humor and warmth to the lives of those around him. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a wonderful father and grandfather, a proud Marine, and a man whose family meant everything to him.
Services to be held September 26th at Martinez Funeral Chapel 11:00am - 1:00pm, followed by reception at Martinez Funeral Chapel reception hall.Attached is the photo she would like to use.
