Reginaldo Encinas Martinez, Sr.

August 8, 1949 — February 17, 2021

Reginaldo "Reggie" Encinas Martinez Sr. died on February 17, 2021. He was born in Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, Mexico on August 8, 1949 to Antonio Martinez and Catalina Encinas. His true passion was music and he could listen to music all day long. He had a vast knowledge of music and could tell you who the musician was just by listening to the first 30 seconds of a song. Reggie moved to Tucson to pursue a better life for himself. Along this journey he found the true love of his life, Patricia Urbano, who survives him. The two were married on November 17, 1978 in Tucson. They went on to have three wonderful children: Reginaldo Jr. (Bernadette) Martinez of Willcox, Daniel (Lan) Martinez of Tucson and Angelica (Francisco) Llanes of Tucson. More love was later brought into his life with the birth of his grandchildren; Angeliana, Reginaldo III, Sophia, Mariano, Sulema, Viviana, and honorary grandchildren Joseph and Michael. He touched the hearts of many including his niece Catalina and nephew Antonio, along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, and his brothers.
