Randy Rene Avalos

Randy Rene Alvalos, born on January 24, 1976, in Safford, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2026. A proud graduate of Desert View High School, Randy will be fondly remembered for his deep love of music and his enthusiasm for the University of Arizona Wildcats.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Amalia Ruelas; grandfather, Guillermo Ortiz; brother, Mike Tapia; and uncle, Gerardo Ortiz. Randy is lovingly survived by his daughter, Alicia Avalos; son, Vinny Rifici; mother, Claire Tapia; father, Mike Tapia; sisters, Martina Avalos, Lorena Tapia, and Armida (Christian) Galvez; brother, Nicholas Tapia; fiancée, Corina Castro; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held on April 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels. Though he has been called home, his presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His joy for food, music, and life will be dearly missed.

Rest in peace, Randy. You will be loved and remembered always by your family.
