With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ramona Enriqueta Munoz, who left us on May 9, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on August 31, 1952, Ramona graced the world with her immeasurable love, kindness, and unwavering strength. Her journey through life was a testament to resilience and compassion, embodying the spirit of a remarkable woman who touched many lives.
Ramona was much more than a beloved mother and grandmother; she was a great daughter, sister, aunt, neighbor, friend, and coworker. Her heart was vast and full of love, embraced by all who had the honor to know her. She approached every day with a spirit of perseverance, teaching those around her that suffering was never an option and that strength was what kept one moving forward. Ramona found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cherishing the comfort of home, carrying out her chores with a song in her heart, and surrounding herself with the music she loved. Her vibrant soul radiated warmth and kindness, making her an extraordinary human being whose presence will be deeply missed.
Those who survive Ramona carry forward her legacy: her devoted sons Manuel Jr. Muñoz, Daniel Muñoz, and Carlos Muñoz; her loving daughters Erika Castelo and Jessica Muñoz; and her cherished brother Ignacio Gil. Though her beloved husband, Manuel Muñoz, and brothers Jose Luis Gil and Victor Manuel, preceded her in death, their memories are woven eternally into the tapestry of her life.
Family, friends, and all who knew Ramona are invited to honor and remember her at the visitation service, which will take place on May 15, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels - Nogales, located at 891 W Mariposa Rd, Nogales, AZ 85621.
Ramona’s unwavering love and enduring strength remain a guiding light for all who loved her. Though she has departed this world, the imprint of her kindness and courage will forever live in the hearts of those blessed to have been touched by her radiant spirit. In this time of loss, we remember Ramona not just for the sorrow her passing brings but for the extraordinary life she lived—a life filled with grace, tenacity, and a boundless capacity to love.
