Pauline Burruel Altamirano age 76 of Tucson, Arizona born May 26 1949 of Paul Burruel and Lucy Leal. Passed away peacefully at home on January 29 2026.
She passed away suddenly following a rapid and unexpected battle with Leukemia.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, sister’s Irma Pesqueira and Mercy Gutierrez. Her husband of 50 years Jose R. Altamirano. Her son Steven A. Altamirano and great grandchildren Layne Altamirano and Aubrey Altamirano.
She devoted 20 years as a Childcare Crisis Intervention Supervisor at Casa de Los Ninos. She was a breast cancer survivor. Pauline was a loving, caring and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She had a love for cooking, bingo and playing cards. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family. Her charismatic personality, family values, love and warmth will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her son’s, Mark and Anthony Altamirano; daughter in laws, Mary and Angelica Altamirano. Her brother’s, Joey, Alfred and Frank; her sister’s Lucille and Cecilia; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She lived well, laughed often and loved deeply. She will live on in our hearts forever.
