Ofelia O. Flores, 75, of Tucson, AZ, passed peacefully surrounded by family on June 9, 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who touched the lives with her kindness and warmth.
Ofelia was a licensed cosmetologist early in life and ended her career as a food service worker with TUSD. She enjoyed family gatherings, listening to music, dancing, and watching sports. An avid sports fan, she especially loved watching her favorite teams which were the U of A Wildcats, Arizona Diamondbacks, Green Bay Packers, and Golden State Warriors. Every morning her day was planned while drinking her cup of coffee and checking the sports page for game times to make sure she did not miss a game.
Ofelia was survived by daughters Naomi Flores, Monica (Benny) Garcia, Margot (Robert) Arellano, sons Luis (Kellyn) Flores, Tany (Rosie) Flores, Kurly (Melanie) Flores, 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and many brothers and sisters. Preceded in death by her parents Juan & Frances Saucedo, Alejandro & Grace Romero, great-granddaughter Za’Naya Flores, great-grandson Rolando Flores, and brother’s Francisco (Kiko) Saucedo, Robert (Bobby) Romero.
We would like to give our gratitude to Gentiva Hospice and Banner Health for the great care given to our precious mother.
