Norman Jesus Acido, a lifelong resident of Nogales Arizona, passed away at the age of 71, after a brief illness on January 24, 2021.
He is predeceased by his parents Magdalena and Edward Acido, and sisters Martha Peraza (Acido) and Linda Acido. Norman was a well-known beloved member of the community; a proud retiree of the Safeway corporation, and member of VFW Post 2066 Santa Cruz. Such a staple in the community that even a corrido (ballad) was written and sung in his honor, “El Gallito de Arizona”. His favorite baseball teams were the New York Yankees and L.A. Dodgers. A proud son, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, he will be missed by us all. He is survived by his former spouse Carmen Acido; children; daughter Alma Manjarrez (Acido) (spouse Manuel Manjarrez); son Norman Jesus Acido Jr.(spouse Jessica Pacheco); son Germán Acido, and sister Celia Acido. Grandchildren Samantha Manjarrez, Jovani Manjarrez, Norman Jesus Acido III, Krystal Acido, Julian Acido; Germán Acido Jr., Josiah Acido; Great-granddaughter Nayeli Acido, as well as and numerous nieces and nephews.
