Norma Graciela Gallegos

March 1, 1957 — September 14, 2023

Tucson

Norma Graciela Gallegos gained her angel wings on Sept. 14th, 2023 after bravely battling triple negative breast cancer. She was born on March 1st, 1957, in Nogales, AZ. Daughter of parents Alberto Gallegos (1929-1999) and Graciela Rivera Gallegos (1929- 1988). Norma was predeceased by her brother Francisco Alberto Gallegos.  She is survived by her loving children: Angel Rodriguez, Araceli Prince, Felicia Montano, and Adriana Rodriguez.  Grandchildren; Angel  Rodriguez II, Adan Rodriguez, Abrian Rodriguez, Alexander Prince, Victoria Flores, Elias Prince, Axel Rodriguez, Miles Montano, and Alana Rodriguez.  Daughter in law; Leticia Rodriguez. Son in laws; Javier Prince, Fernando Montano, and Ismael Rodriguez.  Sisters; Bertha Villescas, Patty Garcia, Beatriz Gallegos, and Cecilia Gallegos.  Brothers; Martin Gallegos and Gilbert Gallegos.

Norma was passionate about her Catholic faith.  She was very kind, generous and compassionate. Her priority in life was her entire family. She worried about them, guided them, protected them, and showered them with endless love.  Her family was her sole focus, and she took care of them until the end. Sometimes to the exclusion of her own needs.

Norma was an exceptional cook and baker.  She spoiled everyone at Christmas gatherings with sugar cookies, pies, and homemade pastries for everyone to enjoy. If you attended any of her parties you knew you would get spoiled with her delicious, authentic Mexican food.  She devoted many of her working years to the Davis community, where her love of mariachi music grew even more.  She was always the life of the party, dancing and singing and would even grab the mic and join the singers if given the chance!

When Norma’s first grandbaby came along, it opened a whole new chapter in her life.  The title of “Nana.” Her grandkids became her whole world, her sidekicks, and her best friends and who she proudly spoiled every chance she got.  Being a “Nana” meant that she could finally give them what she could not give her children growing up. She understood that it takes a village to raise kids and was always there to provide guidance to her grandbabies as they grew and learned new
