Nancy Mendivil, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and beloved life partner, passed away on May 22, 2026, leaving behind a rich legacy of love, strength, and joy. Born on February 8, 1962, in Santa Ana, Sonora, Mexico, Nancy touched the lives of many with her kind and loving spirit.

Nancy was always full of life, known for her joyful nature and her deep love of music and dancing. She found great delight in gathering with family and friends, events that were filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. Her home was a sanctuary, open to loved ones in times of need, highlighting her generous heart and unwavering support. Nancy's resilience was exemplified in her courageous battle with breast cancer, a challenge she faced like a true warrior, never losing her strength or positivity.

Her love for plants and music was a constant in her life, reflecting her appreciation for beauty and harmony. Nancy also treasured meeting new people and always cherished the joy found in smiles and connection.

Nancy is survived by her son, Sergio Mendivil (Patricia Mendivil Gonzalez); daughters Patricia Mendivil (Daniel Contreras Jr.), Claudia Mendivil, and Yesenia Lopez (Francicso Lopez); and her grandchildren Karen Perez, Raul Perez, Ricardo Perez, Ginelle Mendivil, Sergio Mendivil, Geille Mendivil, and Itzel Lopez. She also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Xiliana Valles, and her devoted life partner, Javier Amavizca. Nancy’s siblings, Rosa Hernandez, Merida Hernandez, Bertha Hernandez, Lorenia Hernandez, Luis Hernandez, and Domingo Hernandez, also remember her with great affection.

Throughout her life, Nancy’s proudest accomplishments were her selfless dedication to her family and her steadfast strength in adversity. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her—a beacon of kindness, courage, and joy. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all her family and friends.

Nancy Mendivil, una querida madre, abuela, bisabuela, hermana y amada compañera de vida, falleció el 22 de mayo de 2026, dejando tras de sí un rico legado de amor, fortaleza y alegría. Nacida el 8 de febrero de 1962 en Santa Ana, Sonora, México, Nancy tocó la vida de muchas personas con su espíritu bondadoso y amoroso.

Nancy siempre estuvo llena de vida, conocida por su naturaleza alegre y su profundo amor por la música y el baile. Encontraba un inmenso placer al reunirse con familiares y amigos, encuentros que rebosaban calidez, risas y recuerdos entrañables. Su hogar era un santuario, abierto a sus seres queridos en momentos de necesidad, lo cual ponía de manifiesto su corazón generoso y su apoyo incondicional. La resiliencia de Nancy quedó ejemplificada en su valiente batalla contra el cáncer de mama, un desafío que enfrentó como una verdadera guerrera, sin perder jamás su fortaleza ni su positivismo.

Su amor por las plantas y la música fue una constante en su vida, reflejando su aprecio por la belleza y la armonía. Nancy también atesoraba conocer a nuevas personas y siempre valoró la alegría que encontraba en las sonrisas y en la conexión humana.

A Nancy le sobreviven su hijo, Sergio Mendivil (Patricia Mendivil Gonzalez) ; sus hijas Patricia Mendivil (Daniel Contreras Jr.), Claudia Mendivil y Yesenia Lopez (Francisco Lopez); y sus nietos Karen Perez, Raul Perez, Ricardo Perez, Ginelle Mendivil, Sergio Mendivil, Geille Mendivil e Itzel Lopez. También deja atrás a una bisnieta, Xiliana Valles, y a su devoto compañero de vida, Javier Amarivca. Los hermanos de Nancy —Rosa Hernandez, Merida  Hernandez, Bertha Hernandez, Lorenia Hernandez, Luis Hernandez y Domingo Hernandez— también la recuerdan con gran afecto.

A lo largo de su vida, los logros de los que Nancy se sentía más orgullosa fueron su entrega desinteresada a su familia y su inquebrantable fortaleza ante la adversidad. Su recuerdo seguirá brillando con intensidad en los corazones de todos quienes la conocieron, como un faro de bondad, valentía y alegría. Se sentirá profundamente su ausencia, pero será recordada con inmenso cariño por toda su familia y amigos.
