Nancy Mendivil, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and beloved life partner, passed away on May 22, 2026, leaving behind a rich legacy of love, strength, and joy. Born on February 8, 1962, in Santa Ana, Sonora, Mexico, Nancy touched the lives of many with her kind and loving spirit.
Nancy was always full of life, known for her joyful nature and her deep love of music and dancing. She found great delight in gathering with family and friends, events that were filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. Her home was a sanctuary, open to loved ones in times of need, highlighting her generous heart and unwavering support. Nancy's resilience was exemplified in her courageous battle with breast cancer, a challenge she faced like a true warrior, never losing her strength or positivity.
Her love for plants and music was a constant in her life, reflecting her appreciation for beauty and harmony. Nancy also treasured meeting new people and always cherished the joy found in smiles and connection.
Nancy is survived by her son, Sergio; daughters Patricia Mendivil, Claudia Mandivil, and Yesenia Lopez; and her grandchildren Karen Perez, Raul Perez, Richard Perez, Ginelle Mendivil, Sergio Mendivil, Geille Mendivil, and Itzel Lopez. She also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Xiliana Valles, and her devoted life partner, Javier Amarizca. Nancy’s siblings, Rosa Hernandez, Aria Hernandez, Bertha Hernandez, Lorena Hernandez, Luis Hernandez, and Domingo Hernandez, also remember her with great affection.
Throughout her life, Nancy’s proudest accomplishments were her selfless dedication to her family and her steadfast strength in adversity. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her—a beacon of kindness, courage, and joy. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all her family and friends.
