Tucson, Arizona

Milton "Alex" Alexandro Holguin, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 9, 2024, in Tucson at the age of 26. Born on October 30, 1997, in Sierra Vista, AZ, Alex brought joy and laughter to everyone he met during his time with us.

A talented barber by trade, Alex's passion for hairstyling was evident from a young age. Upon completing his education at Tombstone High School, Alex pursued his dreams at Hollywood Barber College. It was there that he honed his skills and obtained his barbering license. His dedication and hard work were admired by all who knew him.

To fulfill the requirements for his license, Alex needed a model to practice on. Despite his little brother's initial reluctance to participate, their bond of love prevailed. Beyond simply helping Alex achieve his goals, this experience became a cherished memory for both brothers.

Alex had an incredible personality that left an indelible imprint on those around him. Known for his sense of humor and outgoing nature, he was the life of every party he attended. He had an innate ability to uplift others with his infectious laughter and warm presence. No gathering was complete without Alex's smiling face and witty remarks.

In addition to making people laugh, Alex adored spending time with his friends and cherished family gatherings. These were moments where he could share stories and create lasting memories with his loved ones. His zest for life was never dimmed; instead, it shone brightly through his interactions and the happiness he brought to those closest to him.

Completing barber school was one of Alex's proudest accomplishments; however, nothing made him prouder than being an uncle to his one and only niece. Illiana held a special place in Alex's heart that no one else could occupy. He cherished the bond they shared and relished in being a positive role model in her life.

Alex's passing leaves a void in the lives of many who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Cruz Mora. Alex is survived by his parents, Milton and Maritona Holguin; his siblings, Marissa, Alexis, Evelyn and Jonathan Holguin; his niece, Illiana; his nephew, Julian; his aunts and uncles, Mark, Sammuel, Lorenzo, Juan Jose, Cruz, Jovita, Monica, Lorenzo Jr., Cesar, Zulma and Juan Jose; as well as his maternal grandmother Jovita Mora and paternal grandparents Juan and Gloria Holguin. In addition to his immediate family members, he is also remembered by numerous cousins and friends who were touched by his presence.

Services to honor Alex's memory will be held on January 19, 2024. A Mass will take place at 10:00 A.M. at St. John's Catholic Church in Tucson (602 W Ajo Way). After Mass, a Visitation will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels - Tucson (2580 S 6th Ave) from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a Rosary at 2:00 PM.

Alex's departure has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts and lives. While we mourn the loss of such an incredible soul taken from us too soon, let us also remember the joy he brought into our world during his time with us. His infectious laughter and genuine love for those around him will forever be etched in our memories.

May Alex find eternal peace as he watches over us with that signature mischievous grin. We will forever carry him in our hearts as we celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the impact he had on each and every one of us. Rest in peace, dear Alex.
