Milo Ray DeWitt

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life fully lived, we announce the passing of Milo Ray DeWitt, who was born August 30, 1958, in Holbrook, Arizona, and departed this world on July 22, 2026.

Milo’s journey began beneath the expansive Arizona sky, where he learned about love, hard work, and resilience. From those earliest days in Holbrook, Milo grew into a man whose heart was as vast and welcoming as the landscapes that surrounded his childhood home. His warmth and devotion reached every corner of his life—unwavering and genuine.

Milo’s greatest joys in life came from his family. He shared an enduring partnership with his beloved wife, Deborah, whose love and friendship were his constant companions through decades of shared experiences, laughter, and growth. Together, they built a family rooted in compassion, respect, and unbreakable bonds.

He was a deeply proud father to Joseph, Miles, Cooper, Garrison, and Halle. To his children, Milo was so much more than a guiding figure—he was a steadfast source of support, a caring listener, and forever their encourager-in-chief. His wisdom, gentleness, and steady presence shaped not just their lives but their hearts, creating a legacy of kindness and integrity.

Milo was also the cherished brother of Clair, Eric, Douglas, Benn, and Melissa. Their relationships, forged by time and tempered by both joys and sorrows, were a source of abiding strength and countless cherished memories. The laughter shared, advice exchanged, and mutual support offered among siblings will echo through their lives, sustaining them now in their loss.

He carries in his memory the love of those who preceded him: brothers Boyd and Curtis, and his dear parents, Merwin and Diana DeWitt. Milo honored their spirits daily by living with dignity, offering boundless love, and nurturing the family roots they planted.

The community Milo touched now feels the loss of a man who listened without judgment, offered help without hesitation, and celebrated others’ successes as his own. Though quiet in nature, his impact resounded powerfully—a steadfast friend, a trusted confidant, and a beacon of calm in stormy seas.

Friends and family are invited to remember and celebrate Milo’s extraordinary life at a viewing on July 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 p.m. Both events will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 621 W Green Pl, Nogales, AZ 85621. Interment will follow on August 1, 2026, at Woodruff Cemetery in Woodruff, Arizona, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Though Milo Ray DeWitt has left our sight, the beauty and goodness he sowed remain ever-present—in family gatherings, in the kindness he inspired, and in every heart touched by his presence. He will be dearly missed and ever remembered.
