It is deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mercy Nevarez, 64, who letf this world on September 5, 2025. Mercy was born on September 25, 25, 1960 in Tucson, AZ. And lived here all of her life. She started her caregiving/housekeeping business back in 2004 and carried it for 10 years. During this time she decided to earn her associates degree in business at Brookline college. A couple years later her interest in real estate led her to pursue a career as a leasing agent.
She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, who was known for her dedication to her family. Mercy was a devoted, caring and loving mother to her children and had unconditional love for her grandchildren. Her over waving commitment to putting her family first was always heartfelt and genuine. Despite batting so many obstacies in her life she always found joy in God, family and friends and tried to see the positivity in life. She was never afraid to speak her mind and had a strong sense of justice. Mercy grew up being a christian, where she spent most of her life attending church. Her devotion to church was inspiring, no matter how sick she was she would always try to make an affort to attend Sunday and Wednesday service's. Mercy had pulmonary fibrosis for most of her life while later in her adult life developed other illnesses which led her to be hospitalized multiple times within the last 10 years. However, she would overcome every hospitalzation and fought for her life even in her last moments. Her strenght was an example of how resilient and brave she was even after battling many personal and medical hardships in her life. That's something we will cherish and remember her by. She loved animals, being outdoors, shopping, music and attending church. Her love for animals was wholehearted and she leaves behind her cat Oliver and her dog Hammy who she adored deeply.
She is survived by her husband , Ray Nevarez, children, Lisa, Raymundo and Michelle Nevarez, grandchildren, Dahlia and Ezra Mercy will always be remembered as someone who would go out of her way to show gratitude and willing to lend a hand or offer support. She will also be remembered as someone who would witness and lead people to the Lord no matter who she encountered. The love she had she had will forever be remembered and although nothing will ever be the same without her here, we will always cherish her existence and remember the times she would go out of her way to help anyone.
