Martha Ballesteros Lopez, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, tia and friend, passed away on September 28, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Martha was born on February 7, 1944, in Tucson, Arizona to Jesus and Adelaida Ballesteros. Martha led a life full of love and joy and touched the hearts of many who were fortunate enough to know her. For 37 years, Martha was a bus operator for Sun Tran. After retirement, she spent her time volunteering at Most Holy Trinity Parish. Martha loved taking morning walks along the Santa Cruz River.
Martha is survived by her daughter Lillian, son Vincent (Vivian), grandchildren, Nicholas, Arnold "Bubba" (Lizette), David (Tyler), Kalia, Mila and great-granddaughters Leslie and Eleanor. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Alberto "Beto", Raul "Cisco", Delia, and Eliseo "Cheyo".
Martha will be remembered for her remarkable personality, generous spirit and amazing cooking. Her unwavering kindness and spirited nature will echo in the lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for her loving heart and the countless ways she touched the people around her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 7, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church located at 1300 N. Greasewood Road, Tucson, Arizona 85745.
