Maria Moreno, a devoted educator and loving family member, passed away on August 5, 2023, in Tucson, the city where she was born. Born on June 29, 1966, Maria dedicated over two decades of her life to early childhood education. She had an exceptional talent for creating a nurturing and familiar atmosphere in her classroom that made her students feel at home.
Maria's career in early childhood education was fueled by her passion for ensuring that her students received the love and care they needed to thrive. Her dedication to creating a safe and joyful learning environment made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children who passed through her classroom doors.
Outside of her professional life, Maria found tremendous joy in spending time with her grandkids. Weekends were eagerly awaited as she relished the opportunity to have them over and spoil them with delicious homemade meals. Maria also had a passion for photography and loved capturing precious moments shared with loved ones through the lens of her camera.
With an infectious smile that could brighten any room, Maria was known for her cheerful disposition. She drew immense happiness from being surrounded by her beloved family, who brought so much joy into her life. But it was when she was in the company of her grandchildren that Maria truly felt complete – their laughter and playful presence brought endless delight to her heart.
In addition to her father Juan T. Moreno, Maria is survived by her two sons Xavier Tadeo Gonzalez and Frasrco Heriberto Gonzalez. Their profound loss is shared by Xavier J. T. Gonzalez Jr., Gabriel J. Gonzalez, Romeo K. Gonzalez, Onelia Gonzalez – Maria's cherished grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Maria's memory will forever be treasured by her mother, Maria Moreno; sisters Patricia Moreno and Marcella Moreno; and brother Rene Moreno. Together, they form a strong support system that will continue to honor the legacy of their beloved Maria.
Beyond her dedication to education and family, Maria found pleasure in collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia. Her collection brought her great joy and added a touch of whimsy to her life. Maria also had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed embarking on road trips and vacations, relishing the opportunity to explore new places.
As we gather to remember Maria Moreno, let us celebrate a life filled with love, kindness, and selflessness. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy as an educator who shaped young minds and touched the lives of those around her. Maria's joyful spirit, radiant smile, and unwavering devotion to family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
