Tucson, AZ

Marco Antonio Campillo, a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on January 27,2024, in Tucson, Arizona. He was born on September 16, 1965, in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. Known for his kind heart and infectious laughter, Marco touched the lives of all who knew him.

From a young age, Marco displayed an unwavering dedication to his family. At just 16 years old, he embarked on a journey to the United States and began working for his aunt and uncle's business at Alejandro's Tortilleria. This commitment to hard work continued throughout his life as he tirelessly provided for his loved ones.

In 1984, at the age of 19, Marco courted the love of his life and soulmate Selva Teresita. On March 17th of that year, they exchanged vows and began their beautiful journey together as husband and wife. Their deep bond set an example of love and devotion for everyone fortunate enough to witness it.

Marco was a devoted father to his three daughters Loren, Brisa, and Anysia. His love knew no bounds as he always found ways to show his affection and support for them. One of his favorite surprises was showing up unexpectedly with flowers at their school, bringing smiles not only to their faces but also to anyone lucky enough to witness such tender moments between father and daughters.

Beyond being a dedicated family man, Marco had a zest for life that was truly infectious. He had an uncanny ability to find joy in simple pleasures. His love for music transcended genres; watching him dance across any room was a sight that immediately lifted spirits and brought warmth to those around him.

Marco had an eye for hidden treasures and enjoyed hunting for unique items at yard sales and swap meets. In fact, he loved it so much that he would often find special items to sell himself. He was not only resourceful but also a talented cook, delighting his loved ones with his culinary creations.

One of Marco's proudest accomplishments in life was his ability to take care of his family. Despite any challenges that came his way, he always found a way to ensure the wellbeing and happiness of those he loved. His daughters were his source of joy and inspiration, and their presence brought him immeasurable fulfillment.

He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and a devoted parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where he dedicated several hours of each day to.

Marco Antonio Campillo was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Lorenza Campillo, as well as his siblings Guillermo, Francisco, Benito, and Danitza.
