Manuel López, una figura muy querida tanto en su familia como en su trabajo, falleció el 15 de diciembre de 2025, a la edad de 67 años en Tucson, Arizona. Nacido el 5 de junio de 1958 en San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, México, Manuel dedicó gran parte de su vida a su profesión como operador de maquinaria pesada, trabajando con gran compromiso en Oleary Construction y Dirtco Construction durante muchos años.

Sobre todo, Manuel fue un padre amoroso y un esposo devoto. Compartió 47 maravillosos años de matrimonio con su amada esposa, Irene González. Juntos, crearon un hogar lleno de amor para sus hijos, Josué López y Aldo González. También lo extrañarán sus sobrinos y sobrinas, quienes lo admiraban. Manuel sentía un gran orgullo de ser padre, esforzándose por ser el mejor ejemplo para sus hijos y deseando siempre lo mejor para ellos. Su mayor logro fue el amor y la guía que brindó a su familia.

Manuel era conocido por su naturaleza trabajadora y su personalidad amigable. No solo era un buen proveedor, sino también un bromista que llenaba de risas los momentos cotidianos, incluso mientras trabajaba en casa. Su dedicación se extendía más allá de su profesión; disfrutaba cocinando y haciendo parrilladas los fines de semana, con un talento especial para preparar puré de papas que le valió el título del mejor del mundo, especialmente a los ojos de su nieta, Diviana Madrid.

Deja un legado de amor, risas y trabajo arduo. Además de su esposa e hijos, a Manuel le sobreviven sus hermanos, Lamberto León, Martha León y Norma León. Le precedieron en la muerte su hijo, Michael C. López, y sus padres, Jesús López y Francisca Valenzuela.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo en las Capillas Funerarias Martínez en Tucson el 20 de diciembre de 2025, de 10:00 a. m. a 1:00 p. m., seguidos de un rosario a las 10:30 a. m. La familia invita a todos los que conocieron a Manuel a presentar sus respetos y celebrar la vida de un hombre extraordinario que dejó una huella imborrable en todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.

Born on June 5, 1958, in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, Manuel dedicated much of his life to his profession as a Heavy Equipment Operator, serving with great commitment at Oleary Construction and Dirtco Construction for many years.

Above all, Manuel was a loving father and devoted husband. He shared 47 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Irene Gonzalez. Together, they created a nurturing home for their children, Josue Lopez and Aldo Gonzalez. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews who admired him. Manuel took great pride in being a father, striving to set the best example for his children and always wanting the very best for them. His greatest accomplishment was the love and guidance he provided to his family.

Manuel was known for his hard-working nature and friendly personality. He was not only a good provider but also a true jokester who brought laughter into everyday moments, even while he worked around the house. His dedication extended beyond his profession; he enjoyed cooking and barbecuing on weekends, with a special talent for making mashed potatoes that garnered him the title of the best in the world, especially in the eyes of his granddaughter, Diviana Madrid.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work. In addition to his wife and children, Manuel is survived by his siblings, Lamberto Leon, Martha Leon, and Norma Leon. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael C. Lopez, and his parents, Jesus Lopez and Francisca Valenzuela.

Visitation services will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson on December 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Rosary service at 10:30 AM. The family invites all who knew Manuel to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who made an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
