Manuel A. Granillo, affectionately known as Manny, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at the age of 59 in Tucson, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe, and his beloved niece, Lainy. Manny leaves behind a loving legacy, survived by his devoted wife, Mary, and his cherished mother, Olga. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe (Irma), Alex (Katherine), and Henry (Monica), as well as his sisters, Lorraine and Lisa (Tony).
Manny was a proud father to Manny (Brianna) and Raymond (Denisse), and a dedicated stepfather to Bernadette (Brandon), Rudy (Taylor), and Monique (Michael). He was a loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren and had the joy of being a great-grandfather to 2 great-grandchildren. His expansive family also includes numerous nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends who were touched by his kindness and spirit.
Family was at the heart of Manny’s life; he cherished every moment spent with them. His passion for baseball led him to coaching, and he enjoyed golfing and watching football. A die-hard fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Los Angeles Chargers, Manny’s greatest pride came from his grandchildren, whom he adored and supported wholeheartedly. He was their biggest fan.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider making a donation in his honor to his niece’s foundation, The Lainy’s Light Foundation. You can do so at Lainyslight.org. Lainy’s cause was so important to him and he would have appreciated the support.
Manny will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
