With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Luis “Louie” Valenzuela, who left this world July 11, 2025 at the age of 67. Born on September 4, 1957, Louie was the beloved son of Benjamin and Leonila Valenzuela. He lived a full and vibrant life centered around the people he loved and the memories he helped create. Louie shared a beautiful life with his wife, Anna “Peewee” Valenzuela — 51 years together, 47 of them married. Their love was strong, steady, and filled with laughter, creating a legacy of family and devotion. He was a proud and loving father to Monique (Peter), Celina “Chachi,” and Luis Jr. “Doogie,” and an adoring grandfather to Simeon ( Adlih ), Peter Jr., Moses, Aiden, Abram, Robert, Simayah Zazueta, Maritza, Julio, Desirae Rubio, Yaretzi, Xander, Ryleigh Valenzuela —great granddaughter Ella and with surprising news of the arrival of Baby Rubio expected in December 2025. Louie is survived by his siblings Beatriz, Joe, Melinda. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Leonila Valenzuela, his brother Ben Jr, his sister Estella, and his sister-in-law Annette “Pebbles” Duarte. Louie had a deep love for baseball, and coaching was one of his greatest passions. He mentored countless young players over the years — not just teaching them the game, but inspiring them with his heart, humor, and leadership. He was looked up to by many and loved by even more. A dedicated fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Denver Broncos, Louie never missed watching a game. He also had a special place in his heart for horse racing. And when the music was on, you’d find him dancing — full of life, laughter, and rhythm, lighting up any room he entered. Above all, Louie loved his family with everything. He had the biggest heart — always showing up, always giving, always loving. His warmth and spirit will forever live on in the lives he touched.
