Lucy C. Holguin

Lucy C. Holguin, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona, on February 2, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on April 4, 1935, Lucy exemplified the virtues of love, care, and selflessness throughout her life. Her unwavering devotion to her family and friends marked her as a truly remarkable individual who touched the hearts of many.

Lucy’s life was characterized by her deep commitment to her loved ones. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Trini Holguin, from whom she drew much joy and strength. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with love and laughter. Lucy took great pride in her role as a mother, and her greatest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, providing a legacy of love that will endure for generations.

She is survived by her devoted children, Rudy C. Holguin (Patty), Betty Rocha, and Art Holguin (Carol), along with 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who cherished her deeply. Lucy also leaves behind her loving sister, Mary Tellez, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives she enriched with her kindness and support.

Lucy enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including listening to music and gardening, pursuits that brought her immense joy. She was known for her caring and giving nature, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her selflessness and loyalty endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was very strong in her faith always praying for those she cared for. 

A series of services to honor Lucy will take place on February 16, 2026. The visitation will start at 8:00 AM at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson, followed by a Rosary at 9:00 AM. A Mass will then be celebrated at Santa Cruz Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Following the Mass, Lucy will be laid to rest at Holy Hope Cemetery at 12:30 PM.

Lucy C. Holguin leaves behind a legacy of love that will be remembered by all who were blessed to have her in their lives. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.
