Juan "JD" Duran, born on February 8, 1965, in Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. JD was a vibrant spirit known for his energetic nature and quick wit that brought joy to those around him. He was a true firecracker, bursting with energy, and always ready with a joke to brighten someone's day.
Throughout his life, JD cultivated a reputation as a skilled mechanic and a dedicated helper, particularly to those in need. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people and was known for his strong will and generous heart.
JD cherished the special memories he created with his family. He fondly recalled sharing lollipops with his brothers Jose and George, and celebrating many delightful birthday parties with his sister Norma. He treasured the times when his beloved Tata Johnny would come over to spend time with his grandsons, creating moments that would last a lifetime. JD was also known for carrying a flashlight with him everywhere he went, a small quirk that brought a smile to many.
In his leisure time, JD found joy in riding his motorcycle, often affectionately calling out “beep, beep” as he zoomed by. He also enjoyed collecting odds and ends, finding beauty and value in the unique and unusual.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Panchita Duran, along with his loving brothers Jose, Chuy, and George. He also leaves behind his cherished sisters Carman, Librada, Marina, Norma, and Judy, as well as his beloved grandsons: Jesus, Santi, Sebastian, and Cristiano. He will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his father: Ramon Duran, brothers: Ernie and Ray, sister: Martha, niece: Karen.
JD’s legacy of laughter, kindness, and mechanical prowess will resonate in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His spirit will forever live on in the cherished memories shared by friends and family alike.
