Joseph Adam Avila, affectionately known as "Chochi", born January 2, 1995, departed this world on June 20, 2026, at the age of 31. His loss is profoundly felt by all who knew him, as they remember the kindness and warmth he brought into their lives.
Survived by his beloved daughters, Emma and Maya Avila; his mother Jacqueline Pimentel; brothers Juan, Christian, Jesus, Jorge, and Cesar; maternal grandmother Rosalba Valencia; paternal grandparents Maria and Jose Avila; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and extended family, Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was predeceased by his great-grandmother Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez and his great-aunt Maria Guadalupe Loza.
Throughout his life, Joseph's spirit touched many, and his impact remains in the hearts of friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. While his presence will be dearly missed, the warmth and goodness he shared continue to inspire those who mourn his passing.
Family, friends, and community members are invited to honor Joseph's memory at a visitation on June 26, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson. A prayer service will also be held there on the same day at 4:30 pm, providing an opportunity for reflection and shared comfort.
Though words cannot fully capture the essence of Joseph or the sorrow felt at his passing, his memory will forever be treasured. He is missed profoundly, but will never be forgotten.
