Johnny U. Laguna, born on June 17, 1945, in Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. He dedicated 31 years of his life as a heavy equipment operator at Pima County Transportation, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues for his strong work ethic and commitment to his job.
Johnny was more than just the work he did; he was a loving family man who cherished the holidays spent with his family and friends. His good heart and infectious smile drew many to him, and he maintained a wide circle of friends throughout his life. His personality shone brightly, endearing him to everyone who knew him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Belen R. Laguna, alongside his three sons, John R. Laguna Jr., John Anthony Laguna, and Adrian R. Laguna. Johnny was also a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and a devoted great-grandfather to 11 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Yolanda Laguna, and his brothers, Richard Laguna, Rudy Laguna, Steve Laguna, and Alfred Urquides.
Johnny will be remembered not only for his contributions as a dedicated worker but also as a kind-hearted individual whose love for family and friends was at the core of his life. He will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege to know him.
