At a young age, Jesus worked in the cotton fields after school. Despite the challenges he faced, his strong work ethic and determination shone brightly. He later found his passion in construction and became a skilled pipefitter. Jesus spent many years contributing to the growth and development of his community through his work.

In his recent years he enjoyed teaching his stepchildren the art of fixing things around the house. He was a very active grandfather and never missed a birthday party, school performance, baseball game,  award ceremony and graduation.

In his leisure time, Jesus embraced nature and loved engaging in outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and camping with loved ones. He found solace in his daily walks where he befriended other walkers along the way.

Those who preceded Jesus in death include his parents Miguel and Guadalupe Valencia; siblings Juan Valencia, Manuel Valencia, Guadalupe Valencia, and Dolores Valencia; sons Jesus “Chuyito” Valencia, Rafael Valencia, and Roberto Valencia; and his granddaughter Clarissa Valencia. Though their absence brings sorrow, the memories shared with Jesus will forever be cherished.
