James Frank Manson, affectionately known as "Jim," passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, in his hometown of Nogales, Arizona. He was 87 years old.

Born on April 30, 1939, in Nogales, Arizona, Jim spent his life deeply rooted in the community he loved. Known for his kindness, dedication, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family, he touched the lives of countless friends, neighbors, and colleagues throughout the years.

Jim was known throughout the community as a true cowboy at heart. Rarely seen without his cowboy boots, he had a lifelong love for horses and the Western way of life. His independent spirit, quiet strength, and appreciation for simple values were part of who he was and will be remembered by all who knew him.

Above all else, Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, role model, and friend. He shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sharon R. Manson. He is survived by Sharon, their three children, Michelle Manson, James B. Manson, and Debbi Burgkwist, and six cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan, Dean, Sabrina, Max, and Mylie. Family was Jim's greatest joy, and he took immense pride in each of them.

Jim's hobbies and passions reflected the life he loved and the values he carried with him. A true cowboy, he found great joy in Team Roping, spending time with horses, and embracing the Western traditions that were such an important part of his identity.

He also loved fly fishing, playing golf and flying his airplanes, pastimes that gave him time outdoors and opportunities to enjoy the company of family and friends. Whether horseback, casting a line, flying or sharing a round of golf, Jim found happiness in simple moments, good conversation, and the friendships built along the way.

Those who knew Jim will remember his warm smile, generous heart, and steadfast commitment to family and friends. His wisdom, sense of humor, and quiet strength will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jim's legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the many lives he touched throughout his 87 years.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Martinez Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m., followed by Mass at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church.
