Hector P. Martinez

Hector P. Martinez, 84, is no longer suffering and is now rejoicing in Heaven. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 8, 2022. The day he left this earth was a beautiful day filled with thunder as if Heaven was opening up for his arrival and ended with a breath-taking rainbow. He is survived by his wife, Maria Dolores Martinez; children, Elma N. Contreras (Jaime), Hector Martinez (Tere), Sonia Olsen (Tod), Loida Martinez (Myron), Nidia Martinez (Rafael), Isamar Martinez Bracamonte (Marco), Miriam Urquidez (Manuel) and Ulises Urquidez (Alejandra); sister, Maria Ramona Martinez; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Hector was a very hardworking man and the epitome of a selfless man. His generosity to those in need was displayed in countless beautiful acts over many years of his life.  All that he made and would gather as donations, he would distribute to others in Southern Arizona and Mexico to those in need. The swimming pond displayed on this obituary was built with his own hands in Mexico.  He was in his 70's when he decided to create a place for others to enjoy and swim in. His aspirations were to grow this into a place where many families would gather and enjoy with their families for many years to come. 

When he wasn't helping others, he enjoyed traveling to his little ranch in Mexico as well as visiting one of his favorite places, Cupertino, California.  A self-taught guitarist that adored his family. Such a great loss from a loving man who was so full of life. May the beautiful memories made together be the shining light through the sadness.
