George Alex Renteria, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on September 20, 2026, in Rio Rico, Arizona. He was born on May 23, 1959, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.

George was a hardworking and devoted man who spent 30 years working in painting and drywall. He took pride in his work and in the life he provided for his family. Throughout his life, George was known for his quiet strength, dedication, and caring heart.

Music was one of George’s greatest passions. He played guitar for 20 years with Group Jassmine, creating memories and sharing his love of music with others. He also found great joy in watching his son play baseball and had a special place in his heart for his pets.

But above all, George treasured his family. His greatest pride and joy were his children and the life he built alongside those he loved. His family was at the center of his world, and the love he gave them will remain a lasting part of their lives. His steady presence, generous heart, and devotion to those he loved will be deeply missed.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Renteria; his sons, George Renteria and Marcel Renteria; his daughter, Aissa Bonillas (Robert); his sister, Cathy Jimenez (Roy); and his grandchildren, Irvin, Reggie, Stella, and Taryne. He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him and carry his love in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tomas Alfonso Renteria; his mother, Maria Renteria; and his brothers, Danny Renteria and Harvey Renteria.

George’s life was defined by his love for his family, his dedication to his work, his passion for music, and the kindness he showed to those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the love he shared, the memories he created, and the imprint he left on the lives of those who knew him will remain forever.

His family and all who had the privilege of knowing him will miss him deeply, remember him lovingly, and cherish him forever.
