Gabriel Julian Garcia

May 7, 1977 — January 3, 2024

Gabriel Julian Garcia, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, passed away on January 3, 2024, in his hometown of Tucson, AZ. Born on May 7, 1977, Gabriel touched the lives of many with his vibrant personality and unwavering love for his family and community.

Gabriel's passion for coaching was evident in every aspect of his life. He wholeheartedly dedicated himself to mentoring young athletes and spreading his infectious love for sports. As a coach for Sunnyside Little League and Hermanos Club, he instilled values of teamwork, determination, and perseverance in countless children. Additionally, Gabriel found great joy in coaching football for the Tucson Redskins, leaving an indelible mark on the young athletes he mentored.

Not only was Gabriel an exceptional coach to others' children, but he also played a pivotal role in guiding and supporting his own children's athletic endeavors. His sons were fortunate to experience his expert guidance as their football and baseball coach. Gabriel's daughter benefited from his dedication as well when he became certified as a cheer coach for her team. It was during this time that he learned one of his favorite cheers: "boom, boom, dynamite!" These memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to witness Gabriel's commitment to his family.

In addition to being a leading figure in the sports community, Gabriel took immense pride in running the family business entrusted to him by his father. Menlo Park Liquors thrived under Gabriel's careful guidance and became a testament to his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Outside of work and coaching commitments, Gabriel had an incredible sense of humor that brightened the lives of everyone around him. He would effortlessly weave jokes into every conversation, ensuring that there was never a dull moment in his presence. Whether it was finding humor even in challenging situations or making his family crack up with laughter, Gabriel's outrageous personality brought joy to numerous lives. One of his favorite foods was pickles. A huge fan of the Raiders, Boston Red Sox and his hometown team, University of Arizona.

Gabriel cherished his role as a parent above all else, considering his children to be his proudest accomplishments. The love he shared with his beloved wife, Adrianna, was inspiring to witness, as he never missed an opportunity to make her feel cherished and adored. Gabriel's presence brightened their lives every day, and his legacy will endure through the values and love he instilled in his children: Faith Elaine Garcia, Gabriel Julian Garcia II, and Diego Julian Garcia. He also leaves behind his precious dog, Bane.

In addition to his immediate family, Gabriel leaves behind a loving network of relatives and friends who were deeply touched by his genuine kindness and infectious spirit. He is survived by his parents, Pete and Dottie Garcia; siblings Peter, Patrick, Jessica, and Jennine; sister-in-law Stephanie Calderon (Frankie); as well as many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and the countless baseball players he mentored over the years.
