Frank D. Moraga, known affectionately as "Pancho", passed away on November 6, 2023, in his hometown of Tucson, Arizona. He was born on July 12, 1953, to proud parents Juan and Juanita Moraga. Frank's childhood in Tucson shaped him into the kind-hearted and adventurous individual he would become.
Frank attended Tucson High School and excelled academically. After completing his education, he embarked on a fulfilling career as the Supervisor of Landscape for AAA Landscape in Tucson. Frank's dedication and passion for his work were evident in the beauty he brought to countless locations throughout the city.
Beyond his profession, Frank was defined by the incredible love he had for his family. He cherished every moment spent with them and was always there when they needed him. One of his greatest joys was strapping his children securely onto his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle and taking them for thrilling rides. These adventures created lasting memories filled with laughter and an undeniable sense of familial love.
Frank possessed a larger-than-life personality that left a lasting impression on those he encountered. He was known for being crazy and loud but always managed to bring a smile to everyone's face with his infectious energy. Frank had no filter when it came to expressing himself, yet he did so with unwavering love and sincerity. He was never hesitant to lend a helping hand to those in need, making him a pillar of support within both his family and community.
In his spare time, Frank found solace in riding motorcycles and indulging in his passion for collecting and restoring antique cars. His skill set seemed endless as he mastered various trades throughout his life.
Above all else, Frank considered his children - Francisco Panchito Moraga, Rodolfo Luke Moraga, Leahna L. Moraga, and Larissa Moraga - as his proudest accomplishments. He loved them fiercely and supported them wholeheartedly. Additionally, he adored his grandson, Abraham Daniel Moreno, who brought immense joy to his life.
Frank's passing leaves a void in the lives of many, including his siblings Raul C. Moraga, Grace Moraga Mesa, Angenita Dauwen, Ernesto C. Moraga, Maria Borboa, and Ricardo D. Moraga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Juanita Moraga, as well as his siblings Steve Moraga and Juan C. Moraga Jr., fondly known as "Keke."
Frank is survived by his girlfriend, Laurie L. Yates, who provided him with unwavering love and support throughout their time together. Additionally, he leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews who will hold onto their memories of him dearly.
To honor Frank's life and commemorate the impact he had on those around him, visitation services will be held on November 16, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson. A prayer service will follow from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
A Mass celebrating Frank's life will take place on November 17, 2023, at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Tucson. The Mass will commence at 10:00 A.M..
Frank D. Moraga "Pancho" will forever be remembered as an extraordinary individual whose love for family knew no bounds. His indomitable spirit and dedication to helping others serve as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us cherish the memories he has left behind and find comfort in knowing that his legacy of love will live on in our hearts forever.
