Francisco Leon Lizarraga

Francisco Leon Lizarraga passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on November 15, 1943, Francisco lived a long life marked by the enduring bonds of family and the love of those who knew him best.

He will be remembered with deep love by his wife, Sandra Luz Leon, who shared his life and stood beside him through the years. He also leaves behind his children, Omar Leon, Veronica Leon, and Bernice Saucedo, his 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren,  who carry forward his memory and the lasting place he holds in their hearts. Francisco is also survived by his sisters, Doraldina Ruiz, Maria Elena Lyons, Alma Rodriguez, Yadira Stadnik, and Belia Wilcox. Their love, shared memories, and family ties remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Francisco was preceded in death by his son Francisco Leon, his brothers, Rigoberto Leon and Alejandro Leon, and by his parents, Alberto Leon and Adelina Leon. He now rests reunited with those family members who went before him, while his memory continues to live on in the lives of all who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Francisco and to honor his life. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Chapels - Nogales, 891 W Mariposa Rd, Nogales, Arizona, with the Rosary to be prayed there from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A second visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Chapels - Nogales. Mass will follow that afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 N Rodriguez St, Nogales, Arizona.

As his family mourns his passing, they also celebrate the blessing of his life and the love he gave so freely. Francisco Leon Lizarraga will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
