Francisco Rene Acevedo

Our family gained a Heavenly angel on February 14, 2026. Francisco Rene Acevedo entered the gates of Heaven, but his spirit of love, joy, kindness, and faith continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew him. Born on March 7th, 1954, he was a beloved husband, father, tata, son, tio, and brother. A selfless man who always gave more than he had, donating to many charities and the church. He was a faithful man praying the rosary twice a day everyday and offered prayers to all he came across. He was a proud family man, who was gentle and kind. To know him was to truly love him. He was always trying to make you smile or even laugh. His smile and laughter was infectious and could light up a room. He will be deeply missed and will forever be cherished.

He is preceded in death by his father Samuel Acevedo Sr. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Arcelia Acevedo, his three children Renee (Dan), Celina (Ruben), Francisco Jr., his additional children Leo (Maricruz), Bridgett (Joe). His 13 grandchildren Kayla, Joseph Jr., Alex, Belize, Nais, Jessica, Clarissa, Jerzee, Eliseo, Amian, Amariz, Remi, Idalis, and Benicio. As well as 8 great-grandchildren. His two brothers Samuel Jr. (Gloria), Reynando, and his mother Gloria. As well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. His death will be mourned and his life will be celebrated on March 9th and 10th. On Monday March 9th a viewing will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Chapels, as well as a rosary at 7:00pm. A Mass will be held in his honor at 10:00 am. on Tuesday March 10th at Santa Cruz Catholic Church.
