Frances "Franny" Marie Cavanaugh, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on November 5, 2025, in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Born on July 28, 1951, Frances dedicated over 30 years of her life to her career as a hairdresser, a passion that allowed her to connect and bring joy to many in her community. Upon her retirement, she chose to focus on what she loved most: caring for her grandchildren and spending cherished time with her family.

A graduate of Sunnyside High School, Frances was known for her immense love for her family and her vibrant personality. She had a great sense of humor, which made her a joy to be around, a trait that endeared her to friends and loved ones alike. Her life was enriched by hobbies that included going to the casino and celebrating special occasions with her family. Traveling also held a special place in her heart, particularly her trips to Puerto Penasco, where she created lasting memories. Monthly lunches with her cousins were a highlight for Frances, as they provided opportunities for connection and laughter.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Natalie Marquez (Robert) and Danialle Cavanaugh. She was a proud grandmother to Jordan, Bobby and John, and a great-grandmother to Emma, who were her greatest accomplishments and sources of joy. She cherished her sibling Al Yanez and sister in-law, Silvia.

Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Cavanaugh, her sister, Carmen Sanchez, her parents, Alfonso and Emma Yanez and her son in-law, Oscar Rios. While her passing leaves a profound void, the legacy she created lives on through her family and friends who will continue to hold her memory dear.
