Evangelina Meda, born on February 18, 1959, left this world peacefully on December 17, 2025. She was a beloved matriarch whose life was a testament to her love for family and her culinary talents.
Evangelina cherished the moments spent with her family, particularly during holidays when the warmth of her home was matched only by the affection she radiated. Her passion for cooking not only filled stomachs but also brought hearts together, making every gathering a memory to. The joy she found in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was profound, often reflected in her gentle spirit and humble nature.
She is survived by her loving husband, Maurilio Meda, who stood by her side through all of life’s seasons. Their daughter, Joanna Orendain, continues to carry forward Evangelina's legacy of love and dedication. Her grandchildren, Mounl Orendain, Cassandra Contreras, Alex Contreras, Camila Contreras, and Kendia Contreras, great grandchildren, Ximena Medina, Martin Medina, Vale Medina and Mael Orndain, will forever remember her hearty laughter and the lessons she imparted through her nurturing ways.
Evangelina's sisters, Josefina Lozano, Martha Monzon, Ester Leon, Cecilia Rodriguez, and Rosa Caro, have lost not only a sibling but also a confidante and a friend. To all who knew her, Evangelina leaves behind an enduring mark of kindness and an inspiring example of devotion to family.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, a lasting reminder of love, unity, and the treasures of home. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
