Juan Ángel Murrieta, querido padre, abuelo, hermano y amigo, falleció el 7 de julio de 2025 a la edad de 64 años. Nació el 3 de agosto de 1960.

A lo largo de su vida, Juan se distinguió por su firmeza y un inmenso amor por la familia. Crió a sus dos queridas hijas, Virginia y Marlene, inculcándoles los valores del trabajo duro, la devoción y la fe. Juan encontró una gran alegría en ser abuelo de sus nietos: Andrés Jr., Juan III y Susana, con quienes atesoró innumerables recuerdos, compartiendo sabiduría y amor.

Juan tenía una profunda conexión con la naturaleza, encontrando consuelo en la milpa, la tierra familiar. También dedicaba gran parte de su tiempo a cuidar sus plantas y árboles, que prosperaban bajo su atento cuidado. Los paseos matutinos le traían paz y apreciaba la belleza del mundo que lo rodeaba. Su devoción se extendía más allá de su familia; Fue un católico fiel y un miembro devoto de su iglesia, donde participó activamente y nutrió su vida espiritual.

Su familia y amigos lo recordarán no solo por su dedicación, sino también por su personalidad inquebrantable, arraigada en la tradición. Si bien era un hombre de principios, su compromiso con la familia y la fe nunca flaqueó. A Juan le sobreviven sus hijas, Virginia y Marlene; sus queridos nietos, Andrés Jr., Juan III y Susana; sus hermanos, Laura, Ana Virginia, Isabel, Enriqueta, Lázaro y Lorena; y muchos sobrinos, sobrinas y amigos que lo apreciaron profundamente. Le precedieron en la muerte su esposa, Susana, su padre, Antonio Murrieta y madre, Virginia Teran.

El velatorio en honor a Juan se llevará a cabo el 10 de julio de 2025, de 15:00 a 19:00 h, en la Funeraria Martínez de Tucson, Arizona. Su legado de amor y lealtad sin duda seguirá inspirando a quienes tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Los servicios religiosos continuarán en Rayón, Sonora, México.

Juan Angel Murrieta, a cherished father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on August 3, 1960.

Throughout his life, Juan was known for his steadfast nature and an immense love for family. He raised his two beloved daughters, Virginia and Marlene, instilling in them the values of hard work, devotion, and faith. Juan found great joy in being a grandfather to his grandchildren: Andres Jr., John III, and Susana, with whom he cherished countless memories, imparting wisdom and love.

Juan had a profound connection to the outdoors, finding solace in the milpa, the family land. He also spent much of his time tending to his plants and trees that thrived under his attentive care. Early morning walks brought him peace, and he appreciated the beauty of the world around him. His devotion extended beyond his family; he was a faithful Catholic and a devoted member of his church, where he actively participated and nurtured his spiritual life.

His family and friends will remember him not only for his dedication to them but also for his unwavering personality that was grounded in tradition. He was set in his ways, yet his commitment to family and faith never wavered. Juan is survived by his children, Virginia and Marlene; his dear grandchildren, Andres Jr., John III, and Susana; his siblings, Laura, Ana Virginia, Isabel, Enriqueta, Lazaro, and Lorena; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who held him dear. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susana and his father, Antonio Murrieta and mother, Virginia Teran. 

A visitation in honor of Juan will take place on July 10, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson, Arizona. His legacy of love and loyalty will undoubtedly continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. Services will continue in Rayon, Sonora, Mexico.
