Donald Eugene Dunn Sr. was born on June 11, 1958, and sadly passed away on July 20, 2023. He had a remarkable life that was filled with dedication, love, and selflessness. His accomplishments and impact on the lives of his family and friends will forever be cherished.

Donald served his country with honor and pride as a member of the US Army for 20 years. After retiring from the military, he continued his career at the Pentagon, where he worked for 10 years in the Balistic Missile and Defense Organization (BMDO). His commitment to his work was unwavering, and he demonstrated exceptional professionalism throughout his career.

Outside of work, Donald had a deep passion for his family. He loved spending time with them, cherishing each moment and creating lasting memories. Family gatherings were especially dear to him as he enjoyed sharing meals together and relishing in the company of his loved ones. Donald's heart was enormous, and he always placed others before himself. He was thoughtful, giving, and loving – qualities that endeared him to everyone who knew him.

Donald's education played an important role in shaping his character. He attended John Spring Middle School and later graduated from Tucson High Magnet School. These educational experiences instilled in him a thirst for knowledge and a strong work ethic that carried him throughout his life.

A man of great integrity, Donald possessed a sternness that commanded respect. Those who knew him understood that "he meant business" when it came to matters close to his heart or upholding his principles. However, behind this firm exterior lay an individual whose compassion knew no bounds. He would go to great lengths to help others without hesitation because bringing joy to those around him brought him immense happiness.

In addition to his military service and professional accomplishments, Donald had various hobbies and interests outside of work. Collecting coins was one of his favorite pastimes as it both fascinated and delighted him. He also enjoyed occasional visits to the casino, where he could relax and engage in games of chance.

Donald's proudest moments in life were centered around his role as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Being a blessing to others was his ultimate joy, and he took great pride in the happiness and success of his family members. Donald leaves behind a loving legacy that will be carried forward by his surviving family members.

He is survived by his children, Donald Eugene Dunn Jr. and Barbara Ann Dunn-Doty, who will continue to honor their father's memory through the values he imparted upon them. His sisters, Patsy Steen and Marilyn Stanley; his brothers, Dwayne Dunn and Dan Dunn; along with numerous grandchildren - Lamar, Denaya Daniel, Sade, Javon, Briella, Kaiden, Anaiya, Kaiya, Kashi, Pearly Ann; and great-grandson Lamar IV also mourn the loss of a remarkable man.

Donald Eugene Dunn Sr. touched the lives of many with his kindness, dedication, and love. His legacy will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a profound impact on this world through his accomplishments while being cherished by his family and friends.
