Cruz Rafael Jimenez, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at the age of 80 in Tucson, Arizona. Born on May 3, 1945, in Mexico City, Rafael dedicated his life to his family and a commendable career in service as a school bus driver for the Santa Cruz Valley School District for 25 years. His commitment to ensuring the safe transport of children to and from school was a testament to his hard work and dedication to the well-being of others.

Rafael was known for his friendly and kind demeanor, always greeting others with a smile and a hearty laugh. His sense of humor was infectious, making him a beloved role model for his children and an esteemed figure in his community. He had an undeniable passion for family, often finding joy in sharing meals together, and he loved the art of cooking. Long drives brought him happiness, allowing him to create timeless memories on the road, exploring and connecting with loved ones.

As a family man, Rafael leaves behind his devoted wife, Alejandra Traslaviña. He is also survived by his sons, Sergio Jimenez, Christopher Jimenez, Aldo Jimenez, and Ernesto Jimenez, and his daughters, Michelle Martinez and Elisa Webb Jimenez. Rafael's legacy continues through his 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the love and values he instilled in them. His brother, Felix Abelardo Jimenez, mourn his passing, alongside a wide circle of friends whose lives he touched with warmth and kindness.

A visitation will be held in Rafael's honor on May 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Martinez Funeral Chapels in Nogales, followed by a Rosary at 12:00 PM and a Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2:00 PM.

Cruz Rafael Jimenez will be deeply missed, but his spirit and teachings will forever resonate in the hearts of those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and an abundance of cherished memories that will be remembered always.

Cruz Rafael Jiménez, querido esposo, padre, abuelo y hermano, falleció pacíficamente el 8 de mayo de 2025, a la edad de 80 años, en Tucson, Arizona. Nacido el 3 de mayo de 1945 en la Ciudad de México, Rafael dedicó su vida a su familia y a una encomiable trayectoria como conductor de autobús escolar para el Distrito Escolar del Valle de Santa Cruz durante 25 años. Su compromiso para garantizar el transporte seguro de los niños a la escuela y de regreso fue un testimonio de su arduo trabajo y dedicación al bienestar de los demás.

Rafael era conocido por su carácter amable y cordial, siempre saludando a los demás con una sonrisa y una carcajada. Su sentido del humor era contagioso, lo que lo convirtió en un querido ejemplo a seguir para sus hijos y una figura estimada en su comunidad. Tenía una innegable pasión por la familia, y a menudo encontraba alegría compartiendo comidas juntos, y amaba el arte de cocinar. Los largos viajes le traían felicidad, permitiéndole crear recuerdos imborrables en la carretera, explorando y conectando con sus seres queridos.

Como hombre de familia, Cruz deja atrás a su devota esposa, Alejandra Traslaviña. También le sobreviven sus hijos, Sergio Jiménez, Christopher Jiménez, Aldo Jiménez y Ernesto Jiménez, y sus hijas, Michelle Martínez y Elisa Webb Jimenez. El legado de Rafael continúa a través de sus 14 nietos y seis bisnietos, quienes transmitirán el amor y los valores que les inculcó. Su hermano, Félix Abelardo Jiménez, lamentan su fallecimiento, junto con un amplio círculo de amigos cuyas vidas conmovió con su calidez y bondad.

Se llevará a cabo una velación en honor de Rafael el 15 de mayo de 2025, de 10:00 a. m. a 1:30 p. m. en las funerarias Martínez en Nogales, seguida de un rosario a las 12:00 p. m. y una misa en la iglesia católica Sacred Heart a las 2:00 p. m.

Se extrañará profundamente a Cruz Rafael Jiménez, pero su espíritu y sus enseñanzas resonarán por siempre en los corazones de sus seres queridos. Deja un legado de compasión, dedicación y una gran cantidad de recuerdos preciados que siempre recordaremos.
