Conrad “Coney” P. Valles, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, the community where he was born on April 17, 1959. His life’s journey, deeply rooted in family, service, and kindness, leaves an enduring legacy cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.
A graduate of Palo Verde High School in Tucson, Conrad’s early years were marked by an innate sense of loyalty and a warm, giving spirit. Following his graduation, he honored his country through service in the United States Army and continued that commitment as a member of the Army Reserves, displaying the responsibility, discipline, and integrity that would define his life.
Conrad found his professional calling as an estimator of fencing, a career marked by dedication and reliability. His work not only provided for his family but also reflected the meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic for which he was well-known among colleagues and clients alike.
Family was truly the heart of Conrad’s world. He delighted in the simple joys of life: riding bikes, heading to the beach or to the mountains for a day of fishing, and, above all, spending time with his loved ones. His playful nature was evident in his readiness to be a little silly, bringing laughter and warmth to family gatherings. He was unwaveringly loyal, deeply caring, and exceptionally loving. A man whose presence brightened the lives of those around him. In his past-time he enjoyed watching baseball games wherever he travelled to as well as other sports.
Conrad took the greatest pride in his children and grandchildren. Their accomplishments and the love they shared were his proudest achievements, and he celebrated them at every opportunity. The bonds he forged, both within his family and in his friendships, were marked by steadfast support and unconditional affection.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Christina Valles, who was his partner and confidante through decades of shared life. His legacy lives on in his children: Alejandro and his spouse Karen, Maricela V. Abeyta with her spouse Michael and Anthony Tolano and his spouse Kim. Conrad was a treasured grandfather to Xiliana, Jaslyn, Jacob, Illiana, Leandra, and Anthony Jr. “AJ.,” and a proud great-grandfather to Adrian, all of whom will dearly miss his guiding hand and loving embrace. A loving uncle, in-law and Nino to many. He also leaves behind his cherished dog, Jenny.
Conrad’s memory is further cherished by his siblings, Gloria Paredes and her spouse Gerardo, Richard Valles and his spouse Irma, and Lupita Aguiniga and her spouse Ubaldo. Their enduring familial bonds reflect the closeness that was so important to him throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Conrado L. Valles and Maria Dolores Paredes Valles, whose influence and love shaped the generous, devoted man Conrad became.
Thank you to his employer, Gama Fence and Metal Fabrication as well as a special thank you to the staff at Arizona Blood and Cancer, his oncologist, Guillermo Gonzalez, physician's assistant, Nancy Taylor, and Bristol Hospice.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Conrad’s life and the profound impact he made on each of them with a visitation on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Chapels – Tucson, located at 2580 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713.
