With deep love and gratitude for her life, the family of Celia Roman announces her peaceful passing on October 18, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 80.
Born on May 24, 1945, Celia devoted her life to faith, family, and service. She married the love of her life, Guillermo Roman, on December 17, 1966, and together they shared 58 years of unwavering love and companionship.
Celia was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided every step of her journey. A longtime parishioner and volunteer at St. Monica Catholic Church, she gave her time and heart to the Church and the Diocese of Tucson. She prayed endlessly for others, visited the sick, and dedicated herself to acts of kindness and compassion. Her devotion to Jesus and La Virgencita María was the foundation of her life and the example she set for her family.
A gifted cosmetologist for 60 years, Celia’s creativity and talent earned her numerous awards and the admiration of clients and peers alike. Beyond her career, she was known for her craftiness, organization, and generous spirit. She lovingly sewed folklórico costumes for her grandchildren, never missed a family gathering, and always opened her home and heart to anyone in need — feeding, clothing, and comforting all who crossed her path.
Celia is survived by her beloved husband, Guillermo Roman; her children, Cecilia Green, Monica Lopez, Mercedes Knudsen, and Guillermo Roman III; her brothers, Manuel Nevarez and Alfonso Nevarez; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom were her greatest joy.
Her life was a testament to Love, Faith, and Service. She will be remembered for her boundless generosity, gentle strength and the way she made every person feel at home.
