Carlos Arturo Ramirez, born on July 20, 1972, passed away on November 30, 2025. He dedicated a significant portion of his life to the service of his country and community through his career with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Prior to this, he proudly served in the Marines for eight years, a testament to his commitment and discipline.
Carlos was an individual who lived life to the fullest, embodying the spirit of generosity and humor. He was known as the center of any gathering, always making those around him feel welcome and cared for. His love for family was paramount, and he cherished the time spent with loved ones, particularly throughout his weekends at Old Tucson, creating lasting memories with family that will be treasured forever.
Educated at the University of Phoenix, Carlos balanced his professional life with passions that included boxing and a fervent following of the Raiders. His proudest accomplishments include his dedication to boxing and his service in the Marines, reflecting a life rich in experience and achievement.
Carlos is survived by his beloved mother, Elma Melendrez Ramirez, and his step-daughter, Leah Valencia Arellano. He leaves behind many family and friends who will remember him for his humor, generosity, and zest for life.
A visitation in honor of Carlos will be held on December 8, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Martinez Funeral Chapels located at 2580 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713. Following the visitation, his burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, starting at 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM, at 3015 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705.
