Angelina LaPorta

Angelina LaPorta, 97, beloved mother passed peacefully on January 17th, 2021. She was born on September 17th, 1923 in New York City, New York, born from Italian immigrants that came to this country to find a better life, her parents Nicholas and Marie (Petti) Turco. Angelina and her beloved husband Rosario (LaPorta) of 64 years were blessed with two sons, Stanley James (Quintilla), Ross Salvatore (Donna) LaPorta, four grandchildren, DeShon & Michael LaPorta, Christine (Anthony) Herrera, Michelle LaPorta and 7 great-grandchildren Michael, Daniel, Julian, Izzak LaPorta, Mateo, Cortez, Avianna Herrera. She also was survived by her Sister Juliette Turco. She was proceeded in death by her 4 brothers Anthony, Diego, Vincent, Arthur Turco, her five sisters Lucy Shomber, Alice Turco, Mary Sabango, Francis Turco, Louise Turco.

As a young women Angelina worked in the garment district in New York City. She met her future husband at a social club called the Sigma Circle in New York. She truly loved ❤  NYC. and loved seeing live Images from Time Square.. But due to her son constant battle with asthma moved to Tucson Arizona in 1962 for his health. A special thanks to  Senator Barry Goldwater for making that happen.

The family wants to extend a special thank you to the caregivers  Francis Medina, Rosa Lopez, Diana Chuffe, & Silvia Lopez, for their loving care of my mother.
