Alfonsina Hernandez

Alfonsina Hernandez, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, graced this world from October 30, 1938, until her peaceful departure on December 5, 2025. A woman whose heart was as vibrant as her garden, Alfonsina's life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Throughout her years, she brought joy to everyone around her with her warm spirit and infectious laughter. Alfonsina was proud of her family, spending countless hours nurturing her children and grandchildren. Her son, Francisco Hernandez, and daughters, Lupita and Gabriela Hernandez, were the pride of her life, alongside her cherished son-in-law, Martin, daughter-in-law, Maria Elena, her brother, Carlos Lopez. As a grandmother to nine, including Franky, Niel, Cassandra, Viviana, Victor, Vanessa, Anikka, Layla, and Luisana, her love knew no bounds. She delighted in being a great-grandmother to eight beautiful children: Abeni, Franky, Desirey, Jaylene, Julyssa, Madison, Juliette, and Paula, who brought her immeasurable joy and laughter.

Alfonsina’s soul shone brightly through her many passions. A lover of nature, she found great joy tending to her garden, where flowers bloomed under her care much like the laughter and love that blossomed within her home. Sundays were reserved for visits with her siblings, as she shared her warmth and stories with those she loved most, creating memories cherished by all.

Her famous tortillas and frijoles, alongside her joyful concoctions of Kool-Aid, were known to bring family together, filling their hearts not just with food, but with love and laughter. Alfonsina was not only a nurturing figure but also a storyteller, always ready to share life lessons and sprinkle her music in the air as she danced and sang to her favorite tunes.

She is survived by her loving family and many friends who will carry forward the legacy of love and laughter she imprinted upon their lives. Alfonsina joins her beloved daughter, Clarita; her son, Rafael; and her sisters, Guadalupe, Belen, and Olga; along with her brothers, Jesus, Jose Maria, and Arsenio, in eternal rest.

The community is invited to pay their respects during the visitation on December 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Nogales. A Rosary will follow at 12:00 PM, with a Mass to celebrate her life at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2:00 PM. Alfonsina will be interred at Nogales City Cemetery following the service.

As we remember Alfonsina Hernandez, we find solace in knowing that her spirit will continue to guide us, her love will forever remain in our hearts, and her beautiful memories will echo within our lives for years to come.

Alfonsina Hernández, una querida matriarca y querida amiga, honró este mundo desde el 30 de octubre de 1938 hasta su partida pacífica el 5 de diciembre de 2025. Una mujer cuyo corazón era tan vibrante como su jardín, la vida de Alfonsina fue un testimonio de amor, bondad y devoción inquebrantable a su familia.

A lo largo de sus años, trajo alegría a todos a su alrededor con su espíritu cálido y su risa contagiosa. Alfonsina estaba orgullosa de su familia y dedicaba incontables horas a criar a sus hijos y nietos. Su hijo, Francisco Hernández, y sus hijas, Lupita y Gabriela Hernández, eran el orgullo de su vida, junto con su querido yerno, Martín, su nuera Maria Elena, su hermano Carlos Lopez. Como abuela de nueve hijos, entre ellos Franky, Niel, Cassandra, Viviana, Víctor, Vanessa, Anikka, Layla y Luisana, su amor no tenía límites. Se enorgullecía de ser bisabuela de ocho hermosos hijos: Abeni, Franky, Desirey, Jaylene, Julyssa, Madison, Juliette y Paula, quienes le brindaron una alegría y risas inconmensurables.

El alma de Alfonsina brillaba con fuerza a través de sus múltiples pasiones. Amante de la naturaleza, encontraba gran alegría en su jardín, donde las flores florecían bajo su cuidado, al igual que la risa y el amor que florecían en su hogar. Los domingos los reservaba para visitar a sus hermanos, compartiendo su cariño e historias con sus seres queridos, creando recuerdos inolvidables.

Sus famosas tortillas y frijoles, junto con sus alegres preparaciones de Kool-Aid, eran conocidos por unir a la familia, llenando sus corazones no solo de comida, sino también de amor y risas. Alfonsina no solo era una figura cariñosa, sino también una narradora, siempre dispuesta a compartir lecciones de vida y a llenar el aire con su música mientras bailaba y cantaba sus canciones favoritas.

Le sobreviven su querida familia y numerosos amigos que perdurarán el legado de amor y alegría que dejó en sus vidas. Alfonsina se une a su querida hija, Clarita; a su hijo, Rafael; y a sus hermanas, Guadalupe, Belén y Olga; junto con sus hermanos, Jesús, José María y Arsenio, en el descanso eterno.

Se invita a la comunidad a presentar sus respetos durante el velorio el 15 de diciembre de 2025, de 10:00 a. m. a 1:30 p. m., en la Funeraria Martínez de Nogales. A las 12:00 p. m., se rezará el rosario y a las 2:00 p. m., se celebrará una misa en la Iglesia Católica del Sagrado Corazón. Alfonsina será enterrada en el Cementerio de la Ciudad de Nogales después del servicio.

Al recordar a Alfonsina Hernández, encontramos consuelo al saber que su espíritu continuará guiándonos, su amor permanecerá por siempre en nuestros corazones y sus hermosos recuerdos resonarán en nuestras vidas durante los años venideros.
