Monica Dawn Gutierrez

Monica “Monigga” Dawn Gutierrez, 16, born in sunny California on May 8, 1993 was involved in an accident that took her away from us too soon on April 10, 2010. She is survived by her mother, Olga Pickering and her father, Gabriel Gutierrez, her Tata and Nana, Jose F. and Isabel O. Munoz; brother, Gary (Desiree) and their children, Harley, Jason and Faith Pickering; Uncle Joe (Rosie) Munoz and cousins Lil’ Joe (Chelsea), Monique (Kyle) and Andrew; Aunstie Annette (Mark) Villarruel and cousins Louis (Shelby), Ashley, Matthew and Alexis; someone very special to her heart, Bryce Pate; as well as her extended family and many close friends. She also leaves behind many loved one’s including family and friends in Southern California where she attended Katella High School in Anaheim. She was a junior at Mount Rose High School and also attended Mountain View and Marana High Schools. Monica lived life to the fullest and experienced more in her sixteen years in life than most. She was true to herself and to her friends. Family and friends are invited to come share in the celebration of her life on Friday, April 16th at Martinez Funeral Chapels, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be on Saturday, April 17th at St. Augustine Cathedral at 9:00 a.m. followed by an interment at Holy Hope Cemetery.
