Bernardo Antonio Garlant

GARLANT, Bernardo Antonio, passed away at the age of 78 on the 6th of April, 2012. Having lived beside his beloved wife, Blanca Julia Garlant, married for 56 years. His beautiful brown eyes witnessed the birth and maturing of his four magnificent children, Maria R. Garlant, Blanca Julia Garlant, Bernardo Garlant, Jr. and Araceli Garlant. With time's passing he enjoyed fruitful years of laughter, smiles, all of the heart's pleasures and was able to greet grandchildren into this world. Providing both grandsons, Emmanuel Manzanares and Julian Manzanares, with rides to school, he watched them ripe into manhood. Family meant everything to him. Since birth, he held a love for his mother, Luz Siqueiros Garlant, that shined brightly until his last days. With the enjoyment of a kind mother's spirit, he shared her loved with brothers, Humberto Garlant and Mario Garlant. Besides his love for family, he also shared a passionate interest in sports. His favorite sports were baseball and basketball and he always found any opportunity to engage in conversation. Every memorable moment will live within the memories of those he loved, and will be greatly missed for his charismatic personality that will remain imprinted in our hearts forever. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral followed by the burial of his ashes in the Nogales Cemetery in Nogales, AZ.
