Valentin Vega, Sr.

Valentin Vega Sr. 82, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012. Preceded by wife Josie Vega. He is survived by his four children; Yolanda (Tony), Valentin Jr. (Mary), Irma (Eddie) and Rudy (Amy); 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many family and friends. He was a cherished father and grandfather and renowned musician. Originally from Harlingen, TX he moved to Tucson in 1955. He worked as a Groundskeeper in Green Valley for 30 years. He was known for his love of music, dancing and a great sense of humor. He will be truly missed and always in our hearts. Visitation will be held at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPELS on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass will be offered on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment to follow at South Lawn Cemetery
